I’m Robert Duncan, your District Councillor for Cheslyn Hay Village. I’ve lived in Cheslyn Hay for 50 years — all of my married life — and this community isn’t just where I live, it’s who I am. Every street, every green space, every family and business matters to me, because this is home.
My approach to public service is simple: be visible, be honest, and take action. When residents raise concerns, I don’t pass them on — I take them on. From the Low Street flooding crisis to planning issues, environmental protection, and community safety, I’ve stepped in, coordinated agencies, demanded answers, and kept residents informed every step of the way. Accountability isn’t a slogan for me; it’s how I work.
Alongside my council role, I serve as a Staff Sergeant Instructor with the Army Cadet Force, supporting young people across Cannock and all local communities. Helping them grow in confidence, discipline, and leadership is one of the most rewarding responsibilities I hold. Strong communities start with strong opportunities for our youth.
I stand for:

For five decades, I’ve been part of this village. I’ve raised my family here, built my life here, and I’m determined to make sure Cheslyn Hay gets the respect, investment, and representation it deserves.
