Five months into the job of representing Penkridge North, Acton Trussell, Bednall ,Coppenhall and Teddesley Hay. I can honestly say I have been working tirelessly for the residents. Here is a snapshot of what I have been involved in so far:
Rectification of damp in a Housing Plus property
Reinstatement of various alley ways that had become so overgrown they were almost impassable
The continued helping of our Parish councils in obtaining grants to improve efficiency and reduce their costs of energy Grants of almost £3000 have been received
The people of Coppenhall and Dunston will testify we put up an enormous fight in retaining BMV land from a proposed Solar Farm development
I am also fighting a planning application for further development of solar panel in Preston Vale Penkridge along with Sir Gavin Williamson MP
Once again this is a case of preserving our BMV land
I have been involved in helping at the Penkridge Community Café initiative this is proving a great success with a regular attendance of over 30 residents
I am delighted to have been selected to represent South Staffordshire District Council on the Committee for the ANOB Area of Natural Beauty
I will be working to protect this most valuable asset
Police matters are always a concern for residents and I will continue my regular meetings with Chris Cotton Chief Inspector to ensure that the concerns of residents are heard
I hope that in the next few date to announce that the National Blood Donation Service will be reinstated in Penkridge This will safe residents having to travel many miles to donate blood
Further more funds have been donated to ensure a number of bleed kits have been situated around our area
Blue Green and Grey bins … I am pleased to report that I am well on top of any issues that have arisen and the council officers have reacted swiftly when called into action
Five months is a long time but it has flown by and I will continue to serve the people in my ward with enthusiasm and a dogged determination to ensure they receive the very best service from our Council
